I have to admit Everquest 2 has become quite the addiction for me. Not so much because of the graphics, game play or challenge but more for the social aspect of the game. What is a guild you ask, A guild is a group of people that can be compared to a family who share a name that unite them. A guild works together to help each other with online quests and game challenges. Just like families guilds are very diverse. Some are geared toward the casual player while others require a significant amount of game time to be a member of. Many Everquest 2 guilds use a voice chat program called "ventrilo" This software allows people to chat with each other while in the game. The voice interaction between members really helps to promote teamwork and even helps with developing social skills.
Everquest 2 is just like the real world due to the fact people must make in game currency to thrive and people have in game roles. In this game there are many different roles one can choose to play from an adventurer to a crafter. There are some who combine these roles and use them to make in game currency which in turn they sell on the internet for real profits.
No matter what role you chose to play there is always something fun and interesting to do in this online playground. Everquest 2 is a very nice way to escape from the drama of the real world.
