Hey! Long time, no see GameDev.net. Well, I suppose it's just been two weeks or so, but man, those two weeks. You may be interested to know that, for Thanksgiving, I actually baked a pie. I had never baked anything before. My pie, though, my apple pie, turned out splendiferous and, more importantly, I won the pie baking contest against my ladyfriend. TAKE THAT PRECONCEIVED GENDER ROLES.
The Bit.Trip Flux teaser looks absolutely gorgeous. And not at all like a sperm about to nestle in an egg. Not. Even. A. Little. Seriously, though, do want.
CoDBlOps sold 8.4 million copies in its first month on the shelves. That's kind of an impressive number, I guess. Also showing up in the NPD top ten for November are Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (good!) and Gran Turismo 5 (also good!). All things considered, it was a pretty okay month for new video game releases.
Sony is planning on releasing a new Move peripheral alongside the release of Killzone 3: it looks like a plastic submachine gun. The accessory will sell for $39.99 USD. Sony has previously released a pistol-shaped accessory for the Move along with The Shoot.
Ahem: Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre Tactics Ogre. LET US CLING TOGETHER. This video game will be very good, I think.
Speaking of games that are likely to be very good, Sony and Naughty Dog announced Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception yesterday with a full trailer being released for the Spike VGAs and a gameplay demo on Jimmy Fallon's late night show next week. It's looking like Drake will be hitting the desert in style some time next year. To say I'm excited for this video game would be a minor understatement. I have a mancrush on Nathan Drake. He's just so dreamy.
But, yeah, video games! This weekend will consist of me playing through Vanquish a second time as well as maybe starting Transformers: War for Cybertron back up. I also need to go back to Dead Rising 2 and finish that, but I may save that for a bit longer. A Crushing playthrough of Uncharted 2 may also be in order.
